Native Herb Teas – The African Adventure
Have you ever had a dream to help the world? Have you ever wondered if God in His infinite wisdom had some small part for you to play in the world? Did you ever wish you could make a difference somehow in this small blue planet spinning in space?
If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions, then you will want to become aware of the work that Native Herb Teas LLC is doing in Africa. And not just become aware, but perhaps take the opportunity staring at you to become a part of something larger than yourself; something that WILL make a difference in this world.
Native Herb Teas LLC is an herbal tea company formed by a group of shareholders with a vision for the world. The company manufactures many different teas which provide nourishment to the body in many different ways. These teas and this company are helping to make a difference in this world.
Dale Joy is acting consultant for this newly formed corporation and is traveling internationally to teach about the nutrients of the teas and how they work in the body. She had a vision to use her knowledge and the teas she learned to make from her Native American tribes people to reach out to the sick and dying in Africa. She has been working for several years to accomplish this goal and her dream and the dream of the corporation has finally become a reality.
In October Dale traveled to Zambia Africa to begin work on a study being done with the “Modified Native American Tea” manufactured by Native Herb Teas LLC. The tea will be used in the first medical study of its kind on an herbal remedy for its abilities with HIV/AIDS. The study will take place in three phases over a period of months.
While in Africa Dale visited many who were sick and dying in the hospices there. Some of the facilities are no better than a shack and provide little to no relief to the suffering. She visited families where both parents are dying of AIDS and she knew the children had nowhere to go when their parents died except out into the streets to beg and to hope for someone who might give them a handout. They desperately need a caring people to sit up and take notice.
One in five people are affected by HIV/AIDS and there is not enough money to pay for decent hospitals or caregivers to assist all who need it.
The vision shared by Dale and the shareholders of Native Herb Teas LLC is to begin to teach the people of Zambia how to grow and harvest the tea to better themselves nutritionally and financially.
Zambia is one of the poorest nations on earth. Four out of five people live below the World Bank’s definition of poverty, that is, on less than $1 a day. Put concretely, this means that most people struggle every day to get just one meal before they go to bed every night. Some months it is two or three nights before they can manage to get a meal. Only 30 percent of people have access to electricity.
Dale will be touring the U.S. to share what the teas are doing for people in Zambia. She returns to Zambia in March-April of 2007 to begin teaching the people how to harvest and manufacture the tea. The tea will be raised certified organic in Zambia to be used in the first medical study of its kind on herbal remedies and will be grown for benefiting the people through the non-profit organization Fresh Fields Community Support Organization of Zambia.
In order to be of the best benefit to the people of Zambia a non-profit organization called Fresh Fields America was also formed. Working in concert with the Zambian non-profit organization, grant money awarded will used to build orphanages for the abandoned children and to assist in the building of the farms to grow the herbs and provide an income and a living for these destitute people.
How can this involve you?
Fresh Fields America needs members in order to be approved for grant money. The more members, the more likely it will be to get the grant money needed to help us reach out. A membership fee of $25 is all that is needed to have you become a part of this wonderful world vision of hope and assistance. Membership can entail direct involvement of time and assistance, including trips to Africa if possible. But if you can not be that involved, then just the donation alone to start with will go a long way in helping the poor in the country begin to learn to take care of themselves in a life changing meaningful way.
The non-profit organization is also taking donations of clothing, furniture, school supplies, TVs and computers (no monitors). We will put them all together into a container to be shipped just as soon as the container is full. These donations will go towards the ailing education system that has kept the majority of African Zambians from gaining education past the third grade.
Donations of money to Fresh Fields America are also needed to fund the purchase of seeds to send to Zambia for the medical trials. If you would like to donate any of the items listed, please call 352-483-4372. Fill out the onlne application and
if you would like to volunteer in any way.
We hear so much about tragedy and problems in this world, and we have so many of our own it is difficult to believe we can make a difference “out there”. Well here is your chance.
